Why Secular Humanism is wrong in the clash of religions

September 18, 2017

First, here are the two basic things that define a religion. A religion defines morality and gives an explanation of existence.

The current state of Secular Humanism (which Webster’s Dictionary defines as a religion) defines morality as “political correctness” (e.g. abortion, gay marriage, pornography and human influenced climate change) and defines existence via evolution and the science fiction myths of the ages of the Universe and Earth.

Christianity on the other hand defines morality as Biblical holiness and defines existence as the Bible explains it, with God, no macro evolution, and a young Universe and Earth.

So then, which one of them is correct, or is neither of them correct? And what about the various other religious explanations on Earth? Are they fully correct or partially correct or not correct at all?

Well it needs to be acknowledged that Plato’s Law of Non-Contradiction points out that there can be ONLY ONE truth. That is, something can’t be true and not true at the same time. Either there is a God or there isn’t. Either there is an optimum morality or there isn’t. Either there is a young Universe and Earth or they’ve existed for billions and millions of years respectively.

Is there any proof as to what the “only one truth” is in these focuses? Dennis Marcellino utilizes science, logic, experience and statistics to give this proof in his book, THE PROOF that God exists and the Bible is True. www.ConclusiveProofOfGod.com.

Within the “only one truth” it needs to be acknowledged that any explanation of a perfect morality would need to be in harmony with the actual, observable optimum functioning of the human being. Murdering babies isn’t. Homosexuality isn’t. Pornography isn’t. And human caused climate change is invalidated by the fact that climate swings are observed on Mars where there are no humans, and have also happened on Earth in the past, when the technology being blamed for climate change didn’t exist.

Actually, the main point amidst the disagreements on climate change is: it can be seen as immoral that there is such a large focus on the nebulous climate change here on Earth, which has little impact (as wild predictions continually go unfulfilled), while the very immoral baby killing, high divorce rate, high addiction rate, high STD rate, ISIS murders and pornography go virtually uncontested and yet have a HUGE impact (as verified by the decline in social statistics and the worsening experiences in the mainstream entertainment industries). And the psychological problems of homosexuality and transgenderism go unaddressed as such (even though homosexuality used to be listed as the #1 Sexual Deviation and Psychosexual Disorder by the APA – American Psychiatric Association – prior to 1973. [There are many references stated about this in The Plague Of Liberalism, pp. 108-113, www.ThePlagueOfLiberalism.com as well as the story of intimidation and deceit, not science, as to why it was removed as being pathological.]).

Also, the Secular Humanist “dating game” of the Universe and Earth is invalidated scientifically in Dennis’s book. In fact, in his DVD and book titled, How a LITERAL Reading of Genesis 1 is Proven by Modern Science and Hebrew Scholars, he shows how modern secular science discoveries (including Nobel Prize winners in Physics) are validating the Bible’s explanation of a young Universe and young Earth. The book and DVD can be seen at www.LighthouseBooksAndMusic.com.

A conclusion here is that the defined religion of Secular Humanism is in violation of the “establishment clause” of the 1st Amendment in that it dominates the religious landscape and legally suppresses other religions (e.g. in public schools, insurance and government. This last one is a new trend as evidenced by what’s written on our currency – “In God We Trust”.).

Dennis’s purpose is to show that the culture is very out of harmony with nature in many ways and many people are suffering as a result … whereas the Bible is provably the perfect standard for truth and solving the problems in the culture and individual lives. Why Pat Robertson was wrong

February 8, 2014

Following the recent Ken Ham (Young Earth Creationist) vs. Bill Nye (atheist) debate, Pat Robertson said this:

“There ain’t no way that’s possible,” he continued. “To say that it all came about in 6,000 years is just nonsense and I think it’s time we come off of that stuff and say this isn’t possible.”

“Let’s be real, let’s not make a joke of ourselves.”

“We’ve got to be realistic,” he concluded, and admit “that the dating of Bishop Ussher just doesn’t comport with anything that is found in science and you can’t just totally deny the geological formations that are out there.”

Pat Robertson is not a scientist and therefore should not be making science conclusions. His statements were unfortunately wrong. In fact he is making the same error that Eve made in believing the serpent by him “believing” in the conclusions of modern scientists. Were he to dig deeper he would see how unreliable dating methods are and how many modern scientists jump at whichever dates back their atheist or agnostic positions. In fact, objective science totally backs the young Universe and young Earth positions. It is as Louis Pasteur, often called the father of science, said, “A little bit of science averts us from God. A lot of it takes us back to him.

Because of my background in science and engineering, I too once accepted that evolution and the rest of the modern science theories were correct. I mean, how can the majority of scientists and professors be wrong? But when I delved into the details, I found out that they were. (And I chronicle all of this in my book THE PROOF that God exists and the Bible is True.)

So then how does Pat Robertson’s conclusion parallel Eve and the serpent?

Genesis 3:1, “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

Eve then confirms that, yes, God really did say. But then the serpent went on to confidently give an alternative argument:

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

And Eve believed him. That is why Christendom is “a house divided.” There are many wrong interpretations of the Bible that are being confidently delivered by trusted spiritual leaders.

But the Bible says that we are to “be of one mind”. And Jesus even prayed that our “unity be complete.” These things unfortunately are not the case in Christendom today. And this situation is perpetuated by trusted leaders who disagree. Not that Pat Robertson has always been perfectly Biblical, but this was a very damaging blow.

This is why Christians (and all people for that matter) should put some time into studying what the truth is and why the Bible is infallible, as opposed to just believing (and then parroting) what they pick up in the (dysfunctional) culture or in schools. I make that study easy with my book, where I back this all up with science (put simply), logic, experience, pragmatism and statistics.

Also, to back up the fact that the Universe is 6000 years old (which I do using modern science like no one else has done), here is what an Oxford Hebrew professor said:

The following is an extract from a letter written in 1984 by Professor James Barr, who was at the time Regius Professor of Hebrew at the University of Oxford. Professor Barr said, “So far as I know, there is no professor of Hebrew or Old Testament at any world-class university who does not believe that the writer of Gen. 1-11 intended to convey the idea that creation took place in a series of six days which were the same as the days of 24 hours we now experience. The apologetic arguments which suppose the ‘days’ of creation to be long eras of time, the figures of years not to be chronological, and the flood to be a merely local Mesopotamian flood, are not taken seriously by any such professors, as far as I know.”

And the fact that after the Universe was created in 6 24-hour days, the Earth is only 6,000 years old is confirmed by geology, chemistry and astronomy. I prove in my book that the dating methods used by old Universe and old Earth scientists are very faulty and unreliable. I also show proof of early past dates for dinosaurs, quick formations of canyons (e.g. Mt. St. Helens), etc.

Pat Robertson was “fooled” in that he jumped to a conclusion that relied on putting “faith” into “believing” modern atheist scientists. But the fact is, if a person invests some time into studying this issue, they will see that there are a LOT of credible scientists who affirm a young Earth through factual scientific studies.

The Need for a Proof-based Faith

December 18, 2013

The Need for a Proof-based Faith

How can we know that there’s a God and that the Bible is a book of Truth? I mean, to think that there is someone looking out for us (who is the creator of the universe) and is involved in our growth and work for Him, and who has prepared a great afterlife for us is an incredible thought.

But based on proofs, it is the only fully intelligent thought.

And because of accepting those proofs and having faith that living by the Bible is the best and truest way to go, the good internal and external results are further proof that it is all true. Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.” That is, the fact that when putting our faith in God and the Bible results in creating a good, secure, confident, peaceful and inspired feeling inside of us is further proof that we’ve made the right decision in our experiment in how to think and live. And are those the results that people are experiencing by approaching life the secular way and believing how the “mainstream” education institutions and media are explaining existence?

And regarding “belief”, we don’t have to be relegated to a lucky gamble or a feeling as to what the truth is, because there is proof. And this proof goes to the nth degree in science, logic, statistics, pragmatism and experience … leaving no stone unturned.

This is why an intelligent person needs proof … because it is proof that justifies faith. Unanswered or avoided skeleton questions in our logic closet will just undermine our faith and prevent us from having a super strong foundation. They also cause people to question specific things in the Bible. That’s why they need to know why the Bible is infallible.

Proof can also be the basis for proving God and the Bible to skeptics and those who have attempted to resolve their death and style of living through the mythical and semi-dysfunctional systems of the mainstream culture and institutions. Or perhaps they are avoiding this issue as they are caught up in the many distractions in life.

A conflict between a mainstream myth and a musical/philosophical expression by a cultural icon

May 8, 2013

A conflict between a mainstream myth and a musical/philosophical expression by a cultural icon

On the TV show “The Voice” a singer was going to sing John Lennon’s “Imagine”. He said that he was a huge fan of John Lennon. His coach, Shakira, said, “Well I’m sure that he’s proudly looking down on you now.” Then the singer started singing “Imagine” with the opening line “Imagine there’s no heaven.” So then where was John Lennon looking down on him from?

It takes more to get into Heaven than the mainstream myth realizes. See my 2 minute YouTube video about that at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXMzJZ-0zOs

Why do young people look up to cultural icons with reverence instead of the only perfect role model – Jesus? Especially since those icons are usually leading dysfunctional, destructive lifestyles. Have you heard of “The 27 Club”? Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones, Amy Winehouse, and many more, all died at the age of 27 … and mainly from overdoses.

I think that the reason why young people look up to them is because they appear to be free in that they can express themselves without intimidation from the world. But they are confusing musical talent with true freedom. And their freedom is often found in a bottle or with drugs.

I too looked up to them when I was young, and to the point of leaving my career in engineering to become a member of some very famous bands (Sly & The Family Stone, The Elvin Bishop Group, Rubicon, and The Tokens – famous for The Lion Sleeps Tonight). But the freedom wasn’t there, like I thought it would be. Hence I ended up trying 20 different approaches to truth and lifestyle before finally finding it 30 years ago in Christianity.

I now try to spread that insight through a presentation which can be seen at http://www.SpreadingGod.com/evangelism.html. (You can be a part of helping to spread that by showing that web page to your pastor or school. For example, how many people realize that science is on the side of God and the Bible and not modern science theories, many of which are science fiction?)

I think that young people go through a period of rejecting the status quo in search of freedom and self-gratification. But in the process of running from, do they ever find a place to run to … or do they get caught up in addiction because they didn’t find the place to run to? (I have a cure for that too: http://www.AddictionFreeForever.com) The paradox here is that the most free that a person can be is in submitting themselves to God’s holy rules, which He then in turn responds by filling our hearts with peace, love and harmony with our being.

The problem now though is that the spirit of rebellion of the ‘60s has become mainstream. And now kids are looked at as “different” if they don’t go along with the immorality of today. Whereas the opposite was the case when I was growing up in the ‘50s if kids were immoral or atheistic.

Why God Is Necessary

March 9, 2012

Because I’ve developed a highly successful addiction recovery program (www.AddictionFreeForever.com), I was asked in a recent radio interview if God is necessary for recovery. And if so, in what form?

I thought this was a great question, and I saw how this really wasn’t just about addiction recovery but about life for everyone.

I said that in order to permanently not have a weakness for alcohol or drugs or the many other things that a person can be addicted to, a person must be living in harmony with how their heart and body were designed to operate.

Now a person can discover some specifics of how to do that on their own or through an organization or teaching. But that doesn’t address the issue of the meaning of life. That is, is life supposed to just be a series of activities whose sum result is more pleasure than pain? Or is there a reason why we’ve been placed on this planet (we obviously didn’t place ourselves), amid an unfathomably large universe, from where we will one day be forced to leave? That is, from our creator’s perspective, is there something that we need to accomplish while we are here? And is our creator prompting us in some way to make that accomplishment?

That prompting was put well by St. Augustine who said, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in thee.” Therefore we each carry a restlessness in our heart that somehow needs to be satisfied. We can either satisfy it in its naturally intended way, or we can attempt an artificial satisfaction for it through worshiping something on Earth (like entertainers or sports teams), or we can attempt to sweep under a drug or addiction the restlessness and drown out its voice.

The rewards for satisfying it in its naturally intended way is: we set up a great afterlife for ourselves; our hearts are filled with perfect guidance, peace and love; and the restlessness goes away. And in fact, those last two indicators would be evidence that we did actually satisfy it in the way that our creator wanted it to be satisfied (which is why He made those upgrades in our heart). And in my search through 20 different lifestyles and attempts at truth, there was only one thing that created those last two indicators. And that was: a recognition that the Bible is a communication to us from God, and that only following it to the letter and making Jesus the head of our life works. And that worked for me in a way that nothing else did.

That search and experiment with life is something that we’ve each been given one lifetime to do. And then our eternity will be determined based on how we chose to go through life and what we made our highest priority and gave our allegiance to.

Faith vs. Proof

February 16, 2010

Faith can be fragile, given all of the pressures and influences in the world. And it can even go away … either temporarily in day to day life or permanently (like with a lot of young people these days). But it is nice when people have it solidly … but I don’t see many hard-working disciples around these days as evidence that they do 🙂 Whereas “proof” allows a person to make a solid decision based on something that they come to see is fact. No wiggle room in their thinking as it gets challenged by all that goes on in the world. And when a person is solidly intellectually sure … great faith happens within them. And actually, the feeling of faith is given by God to those who put their decisional faith in Him. (I used “faith” in two different ways in that sentence … one is “putting trust” and the other is a feeling that God puts in our heart.) That’s the value I see in “proof”, and think that it is a foundational thing that everyone should have … proof of what the singular truth about life is. Otherwise they make up their own truth or latch onto someone else’s. And the world can’t bless a person’s heart the way God can. The formula is: the more unwaveringly sure a person is about what THE truth is, the greater their faith will be. That’s why proof is important … so that a person isn’t carrying any doubt in the back of their mind. Fortunately, THE provable truth is beautiful. And that’s why I’m so inspired to spread that message 🙂

Everyone’s Choice

February 14, 2010

I was emailed this recently:

“I would rather live my life as if there is a God,

and die to find out there isn’t,

than live my life as if there isn’t,

and die to find out there is.”

But there IS a lot of PROOF that there is a God, which can be seen at www.ConclusiveProofOfGod.com. You can get to know God better by:

(1) Reading the book He inSpired – the Bible (… and proof that God wrote the Bible through His Spirit is also offered at that website)

(2)   Listening attentively to His “still, small voice” in your heart

(3)   Observing what He causes to automatically happen in your body and heart (the specifics of which He designed. I’m not speaking about things that are triggered within us due to bad programming, traumas, or wrong thinking. Although, He designed the responses that would happen within us as a result of those also.)

(4)   Observing what He causes to happen in nature (which He also designed)
